What a wonderful day.
Corbin sang "I love to see the Temple" for days before and still is all this weekend. I hope that he will keep a memory of that day.
He is still so young.
I could tell that he felt the spirit there. I could tell by the way he held on to me and was so reverent as he looked at the pictures of Christ framed on the walls. I whispered to him that the feeling he had inside was the Holy Ghost. That the spirit was telling him that the temple was a special place. A place where families can be together forever.
I hope that he will remember that feeling .
When he thought enough time had passed and that the boys had made it down the hall to us and were probably waiting outside the closed door, he went over to open it and said that "your children should be here now"....but they weren't.
In that moment I was reminded of our journey to bring kids into our home. And how when we decided it was time to start a family and we opened that door...no one came.
They didn't come when we thought it was time... and they didn't come the way we had planned.
We know that is because our family wasn't just in our hands it was in our Heavenly Fathers.
Sitting there it only took seconds. A few breaths. And they were here, we were a family.
I'm sure that's how time passed to our Heavenly Father too.
He knew that once we opened the door that He would be walking these little boys down the hall to us . He couldn't help it if their little legs couldn't move as fast as we wanted.
They are here now, and so worth the (little) wait.
